This marks the ensemble’s 27th year captivating crowds nationally with a world class group of musicians that includes violin, woodwinds, bagpipes, electric and acoustic guitars, percussion, electric and acoustic bass, and the rich harmony of five voices all moving seamlessly through an array of styles: Celtic reels, folk songs, world music rhythms, classical carols, jazz and rock ‘n roll, along with a nod to the music of Jimmy Buffett.
Mayer muses; “I love this season of the year, celebrating the timeless songs and traditions of Christmas from around the world. Our theme for this year, “This Town,” focuses on the places we call home. As we navigate a lightning paced world, spanning great distances, Christmas calls us back to the friends, family and places that have raised us. As in the humble beginnings of the first Christmas, “This Town” must be the place where Joy, Hope, Peace and the spirit of giving we sing of each Christmas begins.
In that spirit of giving, each Stars & Promises performance will benefit a local food bank and/or charity in “This Town.”
Come join us this year for the holidays, a Christmas concert like no other!
