Step into a legendary night of music and community as we celebrate The Leftover Last Waltz—an unforgettable evening featuring an all-star band performing the iconic music from Martin Scorsese’s classic concert film, The Last Waltz, which captured the final performance of The Band. Tickets to the all-ages, family-friendly event include a Thanksgiving meal.

 

This event brings together Tulsa’s music lovers in support of more than just a tribute, The Leftover Last Waltz is a celebration with a cause: all proceeds benefit music education programs through the Foundation for Tulsa Schools, ensuring the next generation of Tulsa students has access to the transformative power of music.

Released in 1978, The Last Waltz, was a music documentary filmed and directed by Martin Scorsese. Considered one of the best concert documentaries ever made, the movie features the last concert (by the same name) of the Canadian-American rock group, The Band, which was held on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976, San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom. The Band (musicians Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel & Robbie Robertson) was joined by more than a dozen special guests, including Ronnie Hawkins, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris Dr John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters and Neil Young. Song performances include “Up on Cripple Creek,” “Ophelia,” “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,” and “The Weight.”
